Arleta is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California. Arleta was originally part of the rancho owned by Mission San Fernando Rey de España. Later it became part of a Mexican land grant named Rancho de la Providencia. The area now known as Arleta was developed in 1907 by the Arleta Land and Water Company.
